I moved to Queenstown in 1995 and over a 2 year period worked as a
freelance interior designer. In 1997 I purchased an established interior
design practice ‘Total Interiors’ and went on to grow the business
undertaking projects in both Queenstown and Christchurch. In 2003 I went
into partnership with Stephen and the business became Foster and Burke
Design. My speciality is high end residential work with an emphasis on
character, comfort and overseeing every aspect of the
interior in order to achieve total harmony. I hold a diploma in Interior
Design from the ‘Sheffield School of Design’. I now reside in central
Wellington and undertake projects, on request, throughout New Zealand.
From analytical to creative, I spent 10 years in the Insurance industry before moving into an Art Gallery Sales and Management role. In 2001, Jean and I began working together and subsequently formed Foster and Burke Design. From 2006 until 2015 I operated our Sydney office. Design projects include: hotel, resorts, corporate offices and residential homes and apartments in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore and London. In addition to designing, I tutored part-time over four years, at CATC Design School, Sydney.
I hold a 'Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration' and 'Certificate IV in Training and Assessment'
